Why Delay?
Can someone smarter than me explain why school districts have these two-hour delays? I mean, other than to make the lives of parents more difficult, because employers aren't on a delay.
Mike: I guess the current crop of kids aren't as tough as WE used to be... I can't recall ANY such delay back in my day (in Philly of all places). That's just my take on it.
Thoughts: 1) Daylight. 2) Time to clear roads, especially rural roads. 3) Time for weather to settle down. 4) Time to warm up. 5) Time to better assess the conditions.
