The Geist United Opposition held it's dinner fundraiser tonight at the Bella Vita Restaurant, and it was quite a success. The upstairs bar area was packed, and the auction items saw a lot of bids.
In fact, Ame & I won two bids- for wakeboarding lessons (Alex will get those) and for house cleaning service (we'll all enjoy this!). Here are some pictures from the evening.

Hi Mike,
Just wanted to let you know that we made just under $20,000 Friday night. If nothing else, this forced annexation from the Fishers Town Council has brought Geist residents together!! It was a great night, and I'm glad that you could be a part of it.
Funny you put it that way. A few people remarked to me that the silver lining to this mess is that everyonehas really gotten to know their neighbors better than ever before.
I am pleased to stand with you against forced annexation, and in support to your right to self-determination.
Now I'm looking forward to the golf event! I've been recruited to be the eyewitness on the hole-in-one challenge hole! After that event, you'll probably have reached your fundraising goals. Congratulations!
